LUBEGARD ATF Protectants & Supplements condition old, hard seals to perform like new often eliminating “morning sickness”.
LUBEGARD ATF Protectants & Supplements restore low speed frictional properties to old or deficient ATF to prevent torque converter shudder.
Shudders are caused by frictionally depleted fluid. This condition is called “stick slip”, and it’s felt when clutches don’t slide smoothly when coming to a stop. It’s considered a low speed friction problem.
LUBEGARD ATF Protectants & Supplements typically will drop normal operating temperature 9-12 deg. F when added to an automatic transmission. In some cases its even been known to reduce up to 40°F!
LUBEGARD ATF Protectants & Supplements will safely restore shift quality by allowing the clutches to properly lock-up (smoothly slide to a stop) when the shift occurs.
LUBEGARD ATF Protectants & Supplements are the most thermal and oxidatively stable transmission additives sold today, extending the life & condition of the transmission fluid.
LUBEGARD ATF Protectants & Supplements are synthetic (man-made) themselves. Thus they can be used in to enhance any ATF whether they’re synthetic, semi-synthetic or conventional ATF’s. They are by far proven to be the most thermal and oxidatively stable transmission additives sold today.
Lubegard provides far more heat reduction, heat-transfer, seal compatibility (an issue with synthetic fluids) and anti-wear properties. It’s also synchronizer friendly even with the new fiber types.
LUBEGARD ATF Protectants & Supplements are unique for their ability to free stuck valves as well as free up and lubricate solenoids.
LUBEGARD ATF Protectants & Supplements optimize the transmissions performance. Thus fuel consumption is reduced since it requires less power & fuel to efficiently operate the transmission. Be sure to also add LUBEGARD Engine Oil Protectant which will optimize engine efficiency for improved fuel economy. You can also add our Fuel System Booster to you fuel system which contains a unique, proprietary polyether amine (PEA) detergent technology, the most effective chemistry for total fuel system cleanup that outperforms competitors
In the U.S. the use of LUBEGARD ATF Protectants & Supplements or any other equivalent additive will not void a manufacturer’s warranty. This is due to the Magnusson Moss Warranty Improvement Act. Also LUBEGARD ATF Protectant and Lubegard HFM-ATF Supplement are the only additives in the worldwide market today that have actual endorsements and recommendations by various OEM’s for their use!
LUBEGARD ATF Protectants & Supplements have been tested and are proven to provide the best ATF equivalents. Sight alone will not tell you the condition of an ATF. Here are the four main ways to determine an ATF’s condition:
Check your owner’s manual for their recommended intervals. Then it depends on how you drive your car. Most drivers follow under the “severe conditions” category. Examples of severe conditions: traffic, stop & go, idling for periods at a time, hauling, high temp, dirty roads & etc. If you fall under severe do not exceed 60,000 miles even with synthetic ATF.
Many variables play a factor first check your owner’s manual recommendations. Then it will depend on the mileage since the last service & how your vehicle has been driven.
If the vehicle is new or the recommended service intervals have been followed, it’s safe to flush either with or without a flush machine at either 30,000 or at the recommended service interval.
If it’s unknown when the last flush was performed, the last flush was performed over the recommended interval, or the vehicle has been subject to severe driving conditions ask a transmission expert to evaluate its condition to determine if a pan drop is necessary.
You will find the recommended ATF in your owner’s manual. It is always best to use the recommended ATF specified by your vehicles manufacturer or a proven equivalent alternative. Or check the LUBEGARD OEM ATF & Conversion Chart. If you do not have access to either feel free to contact us for the recommended ATF 800-333-LUBE(5823).
If your transmission required a highly friction modified ATF such as; Honda Genuine Z-1, Chrysler Mopar ATF+3 or ATF+4, Toyota Type T, T II or T IV or any other highly friction modified ATF, simply add a bottle (or 1 oz per quart of ATF) of LUBEGARD HFM-ATF SUPPLEMENT. If your transmission required MERCON® V ATF, simply add a bottle (or 1 oz per quart of ATF) of LUBEGARD ATF SUPPLEMENT FOR FORD APPLICATIONS. Feel Free to call our toll FREE Tech Hotline (M-F, 8-5 PST) anytime 800-333-LUBE(5823).
It’s a good idea, however if the fluid is clean it’s not necessary. If the fluid is dark or smells burnt it’s certainly good to remove the pan and inspect for any malfunctions or debris and replace the filter.
No, Especially as of Jan 2007 as there are no licenses any longer available for DEXRON, DEXRON II or DEXRON III. You must trust your supplier on the quality. DEXRON VI will be the new licensed ATF and will be backwards compatible.
LUBEGARD ATF Protectants & Supplements can be added at anytime during the life of the vehicle. Many of the vehicles that accumulate the highest amount of mileage with no problems have used LUBEGARD ATF Protectants & Supplements since they were brand new.
The transmissions that call for Type F should never have any additive added to them not even Lubegard, as these units need the clutch packs to engage hard. Any friction modification introduced to these systems will cause slippage.

Yes! And any coolant for that matter; It is compatible with all types of antifreeze, including ethylene glycol and propylene glycol. This includes traditional silicate-based (green-colored), Extended Life (orange-colored), and Universal Extended Life (yellow-colored) antifreezes.
KOOL-IT® Supreme Coolant Treatment extends freshly changed coolant life up to five years when added every year.
If the antifreeze looks bad it is always best to change it. For temporary protection until you can properly service the cooling system you can add a bottle of KOOL-IT® Supreme Coolant Treatment.
Absolutely, KOOL-IT® Supreme Coolant Treatment is especially beneficial as it contains additives to reduce wet-sleeve cylinder liner cavitation erosion that is common in diesel engine cooling systems and are required in coolant by many OEM’s.
The area where the coolant comes into contact with the metal wet sleeve cylinder liners is extremely hot. Localized boiling occurs, regardless of coolant type. As the coolant nears the boiling phase, tiny vacuoles are formed in the coolant solution. The vibration of the cylinder liners from the running of the engine causes these vacuoles to implode. The countless implosions of vacuoles cause the metal surfaces of the liners to slowly erode. KOOL-IT® Supreme Coolant Treatment contains an ingredient called nitrite, which forms a thin oxide film that protects the metal surfaces of wet sleeve cylinder liners when the vacuoles implode, thus preventing erosion.
KOOL-IT® Supreme Coolant Treatment is unique in its ability to prevent damage from normal levels of naturally occurring chemical electrolysis in cooling systems.
KOOL-IT® Supreme Coolant Treatment will reduce operating temperature of a system running 50/50 mixture of water and antifreeze coolant up to 5-7 degrees F. Some have even reported more! Just check out some of our testimonials! In straight water applications you can expect an even greater drop up to 20°F!
Absolutely, KOOL-IT® Supreme Coolant Treatment even has a built in pH indicator just for straight water applications that changes color as acidity increases or decreases. You can expect up to a 20° F temperature drop when used with straight water. In straight water applications it is best however to add 50% more KOOL-IT® to achieve full corrosion protection. It’s an excellent performance enhancer for race vehicles running straight water since most racetracks banned ethylene glycol antifreeze because of its harmful effects to the environment.
Yes! And any coolant for that matter; It is compatible with all types of antifreeze, including ethylene glycol and propylene glycol. This includes traditional silicate-based (green-colored), Extended Life (orange-colored), and Universal Extended Life (yellow-colored) antifreezes.
Yes, but the problem may not be fixed if permanent damage, such as metal deterioration, has already occurred. Depending on the condition of the coolant & if maintenance intervals were followed, it’s best to flush, add more coolant & KOOL-IT Supreme Coolant Treatment. If electrical stray current is suspected use the KOOL-IT® Electrolysis Indicator to test for harmful voltage levels & fix the source of the problem.
Soft water lacks the impurities of tap water. When used as coolant, it will not act as an electrolyte, thereby minimizing damage from electrolysis. And it will not form antifreeze gels and scales/deposits, which reduces the possibility of eventual overheating. However, it should be noted that regardless of whether tap water or softened water is used, KOOL-IT® Supreme Coolant Treatment prevents these types of damage. This is one of the important benefits of the product, since not everybody has easy access to softened water at all times.
No. If you get KOOL-IT® Supreme Coolant Treatment on your clothes, rinse it with vinegar or any other low-pH liquid, and it will instantly go from pink to clear. If you get KOOL-IT® Supreme Coolant Treatment on the paint of your car, wipe it with a damp rag and it will not leave any blemish.
Because KOOL-IT® Supreme Coolant Treatment extends the effective life of antifreeze to 5 years, this means less toxic antifreeze is introduced to the environment, due to extended service intervals and less frequent draining and flushing.
KOOL-IT® Supreme Coolant Treatment contains complex polymer “dispersants” that prevent the silicates in antifreeze and the hardness in water from becoming insoluble. It also lubricates the working parts and seals of water pumps, preventing associated damage and failure.
The dark pink color serves a functional purpose in straight water applications. KOOL-IT® Supreme Coolant Treatment contains a corrosion pH-indicator called “phenolphthalein,” which turns pink above a pH of 8.5, and goes clear at a pH below 8.5. Also because KOOL-IT® contains a chemical called borate, it has a pH of around 11 and accordingly appears dark pink in color. Because KOOL-IT® was originally formulated for the treatment of large, high-dollar industrial cooling systems, the pH-indicator allows industrial engineers a quick and easy way to identify the pH of system waters. The KOOL-IT® pH Indicator is most useful to the race industry as the majority now use straight water mixes without any antifreeze, mostly due to the mandate by most tracks to eliminate the use of ethylene glycol antifreeze because of its harmful effects on the environment. This simple pH indicator allows the mechanic to know the approximate pH of the straight water coolant at a quick glance without having to run extra extensive & complex tests. If it indicates the pH is too low or too high the mechanic will know to add another pint of KOOL-IT® to eliminate and protect against any corrosion buildup.
Open the petcock on the bottom of the radiator, and drain one pint of coolant in order to create sufficient additional capacity for the addition of KOOL-IT® Supreme Coolant Treatment. If it is easier, siphon or use a pipette to extract the coolant from the top of the radiator. KOOL-IT® may also be added to the coolant expansion tank or reservoir, as long as the vehicle is driven regularly. It takes approximately 4-5 complete heat-up and cool-down cycles for the KOOL-IT® to make its way into the cooling system via the coolant reservoir.
KOOL-IT® Radiator Flush is very safe, it does not contain acids nor does it require any neutralizers.
KOOL-IT® Radiator Flush circulates through the cooling system removing scale, scum, oily residues, rust, mineral deposits and combustion byproducts from the cooling system.
KOOL-IT® Radiator Flush is especially safe for all cooling systems including systems with aluminum radiators.
Without KOOL-IT® Supreme Coolant Treatment, it is necessary to flush a cooling system every 18-24 months. Glycol in antifreeze breaks down over time to form glycolic acid (a weak acid) that reduces the pH of coolant and causes corrosion. Byproducts of combustion also contaminate coolant, causing further acidic degradation of coolant. At these lower pH levels, tiny rust particles begin to form, and combine with “silicates” in antifreeze and “hardness” in water to form insoluble gels. The gels reduce coolant flow through radiator tubes and reduces the system’s ability to transfer heat. Flushing removes harmful glycolic acid, combustion contaminants, and antifreeze gels.
We recommend that you use the LUBEGARD ATF Protectant. This is best for long term benefits and your transmission. It is also the only ATF Protectant approved for use my multiple OEMS. Instant Instant Shudder Fixx is a great product however it is a quick fix and does not contain the patented LXE Technology which is needed for a long lasting transmission.
When used as directed, Instant Shudder Fixx will safely prevent Torque Converter shudder. If the TORQUE CONVERTER shudder returns one more treatment may be added. Do not use the Instant Shudder Fixx again unless you change the fluid completely.
Instant Shudder Fixx works very well in synthetic transmission fluid.

KOOL-IT Evaporator Foam Cleaner is an easy to use foam cleaner that will quickly clean and deodorize the air conditioning and heater ducting of your car or truck.
KOOL-IT Evaporator Foam Cleaner uses a foam with super foaming action to remove and neutralize the contaminates that live in air conditioning and heater systems.
KOOL-IT Evaporator Foam Cleaner comes with a tube that is inserted in the ducting system to reach the evaporator box (very often through the a/c condensation drain tube) where the entire contents of the can is released as a foam. The tube is removed and in 15 minutes the foam turns into a liquid and runs back out the condensation drain carrying the contaminates with it, leaving the vehicle with a clean fresh scent.
If at first you cannot find the drain tube, try turning on the A/C & look for the drip from the drain tube. But, if it still cannot be located, yes you can go through the vents, however you must insert the hose tip all the way into the evaporator box. Be 100% certain that you have the tip inserted into the evaporator box before discharging the product inside!

For years we have simply taken this as a form of flattery…they all want to be like LUBEGARD, and have for years falsely compared themselves, not to mention flat out told customers, they are “just like Lubegard”. The truth be told! None of these other additives will ever be the same as Lubegard especially due to the fact there are patents on LUBEGARD’s technologies and ONLY LUBEGARD has been approved by multiple OEM’s in their service bulletins because of the superior benefits LUBEGARD provides.
The use of Lubegard will not void your warranty. Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act and general principles of the FTC Act a manufacturer may not require the use of any brand unless the manufacturer provides the item free of charge under the terms of the warranty. Basically if a consumer is told that only the OEM product will not void the warranty, that consumer should request the OEM product to be supplied free of charge. If the consumer is refused or charged for the OEM product the customer should ask for a copy of the warrantor’s approved FTC waiver if this is not supplied the manufacturer will be violating the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act or orther applicable laws.
